Darcy & Cortney’s Wedding Video Teaser- Castle Ladyhawke.

Ok, I’ll admit this Wedding-Video teaser is a little bit on the longer side, but you’ll have to agree, the toast by Darcy’s sister was priceless, I just couldn’t leave it out of the Sneek-Peek. So stick it out till the end, you’ll love it!!

Darcy & Cortney were a blast to film. With amazing attention to details + perfect Planning pulled off by Occasions by Emily it was a beautiful fun-filled Wedding day. Castle Ladyhawke once again lived up to it’s rep as a great location to exchange vows and celebrate a wedding and to cap it off, these guys brought what I would expect from a South Florida crew- lots of dancing! Thankfully Dylan Skidmore was at the helm and the tunes kept coming.

So here you go- Press play and find out what Darcy and Cortney’s “friends” have to say about their love affair.

Darcy’s make-up by: Make up at the Grove Arcade and Hair styling was provided by: Adorabella

That beautiful cake was created by: Tiffany’s Baking Co.

All the great eats were provided by: Black Eyed Susan Catering.

Darcy and Cortney’s photography was captured by the very talented Aaron Hogsed of Aaron Imaging.

Meredith & Mark’s Wedding Video Teaser- Crest Center Pavilion

What can I say… it was a great Wedding Day!! (heh, that rhymes)

Meredith and Mark are a really sweet couple. I think that aspect really shines through in this little teaser from their wedding day film. Lots of emotion, tons of friends and a beautiful setting made it a day no-one will forget.

Speaking of beautiful days. October 1st was a bit blustery, lots of puffy clouds borne along by gusty winds. It wasn’t necessarily frigid on Crest Mountain, but the winds definitely added a little nip to the air, making it slightly uncomfortable. At one point, while the guests were waiting for the wedding party to start their entrance, the clouds broke and warm sunshine bathed the side of the Mountain. Their was a loud cheer and lots of whooping from the audience, lots of laughter too! The couple said their Vows, Mark crushed the glass and it was time to Celebrate!

I hope you enjoy this short film of Meredith and Mark’s wedding day.

Special thanks to Emily and her team from Occasions By Emily for all the wedding day coordination and planning.

Also it was a real treat working with the team of Brian and Gry from Woodward and Rick Photography. (It felt like we had been shooting together forever, big thanks for making it so easy)

Meredith’s beauty experts came rolling in and wiggled theirs noses-(that dates me, I think)… Hair- Lola Salon, Makeup- Makeup at the Grove Arcade

The amazingly elegant wedding cake was created by- Icing on The Cake

As always Crest Mountain Pavilion and the M7 team was great to work with with.

Musical tuneage was provided by- Allegro music during the ceremony. And Risse rocked the tunes for the reception.

Blind Pig 2012 | “The Rising Sun” | BTS documentary.

Once again Mike Moore and his team allowed me the opportunity to document them as they  planned another amazing dinner event for our local foodavores. The chosen theme was to be Washoku. Or in english, the traditional cuisine of Japan.

Aptly named the “Rising Sun” dinner, it was going to be in Mike’s own words, “The Godzilla” of Blind Pig meals. To date, this is the biggest event that he’s had to tackle, with 94 guests and 12 courses it was going to be a complex event to plan and accomplish. But true to fashion, the event came off without a hitch.  The featured chefs were Drew Maycuth and Alex Bryanton both of the Admiral, and Brian Canipelli of Cucina 24. All three admitted to having a strong fascination and deep love for traditional Japanese fare, but also an admittance that to truly master the art of Washoku would take years and constant dedication. During an interview with Mountain Express food writer Mackensy Lunsford, Drew admitted, “we’re just three white kids, that love this food. We’re gonna use the ingredients we love and make it the best way we know how.”

Was food alone enough to wow the guests for the “Rising Sun” dinner? NO. Mike added to the mix the amazing custom made artworks by artist/musician Andy Herod and tuneage being spun by DJ- Rob Castillo. So what’d ya think?? Wanna see all this in action? Press play, and you’ll see why this made for such a great start to the 2012 Blind Pig season.

The proceeds form this dinner were to raise awareness and funds for ASAP- The Appalachian Sustainable Agricultural Project.

The amazing little diddy I happened upon that seemed to fit so well is “Hong Kong space invasion” by Bryyn.

Shooting locations were, The Admiral, Cucina 24, The Herod Studio and Gaining Ground Farm.

Underhill Rose releases the Video for “Who Brought the Sun”

Last fall I got a call from local Director, Cinematographer Paul Schattel with Harrow Beauty Films. Whom I had met earlier in the year while filming the Blind Pig “Fire and Chocolate” Dinner. Paul mentioned he had a shoot coming up that he could use my help on- a music video. Needless to say I was pretty excited.

The video was for Local band Underhill Rose who performed “Who Brought the Sun” for the video. On shoot day- Paul, myself, Eleanor, Molly and Salley all came together at Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, NC. With the late afternoon sun and temps going down, we scrambled to get our shots. AND….. success!

The ladies were real troopers, Paul knew exactly what he wanted and everything came together. It was a great experience that I’m proud to have been a part of.

LAB hosted the video Release party and the ladies did a short set, they’re  truly talented musicians! If you get the chance to hear them, you’ll see what I mean.
